Covered-Up Child Sex Crime Case Now Being Investigated by Police

As we began our investigation into the child sex crime hazing incidences that took place in Findlay, OH during a summer basketball camp in 2007, we hoped that justice would be served. Children were violated in the most horrendous fashion while adults stood by and did nothing to stop it. Including those in law enforcement. During our investigation, we obtained hard evidence about the child sex crimes, and since nothing was being done locally, we turned the evidence over to an outside authority who has a strong history of putting a bright spotlight on corruption and cover-ups and that light has taken down the powerful. This outside authority is the Detroit Crime Commission (DCC). Their mission is to act as a citizen ally to public and private organizations by facilitating the prevention, investigation and prosecution of crime leading to a safer place to live, learn and work.

We turned over our evidence to the DCC and they took on the case. You can review their finding here (see attached). The DCC was able to verify the threat of sodomy to minor children which is a felony. They were also able to verify the use of urine to degrade and humiliate minor children which is also a felony. Neither Sheriff Jeff Grey or Detective Chris Hamberg turned over the information they had about these child sex crimes to the city that had jurisdiction, Findlay. Not turning over this information is also a felony.

Working with the DCC has paid off. We are pleased to announce that with their help the Findlay Police Department has now begun an investigation into these child sex crimes (see the attached incident report). Justice will finally have a chance. We hope all the boys who were abused that summer will come forward to testify about the very horrible sexual acts of violence committed against them. These acts were undoubtedly humiliating and embarrassing, but hopefully, they will find the courage. They could help prevent these acts from happening to others, they could make those adults who stood by and did nothing face justice, and it may help them heal.

It is clear Sheriff Jeff Grey did not want these child sex crimes to see the light of day. Sheriff Grey not only failed to turn the information he had immediately over to the Findlay Police, but he also discouraged anyone from pressing charges. This type of action by a law enforcement official is in itself a crime. If Jeff Grey was so willing to selectively cover-up these horrible crimes again children how many other crimes has Grey and the Mercer County justice system covered up and, the bigger question, is why?

Citizens it is time to drain the swamp of Mercer County, and that includes the prosecutor’s office, the sheriff’s office and courts. The children that they are supposed to serve, protect and defend are at significant risk!
